It has been an exciting season on the track, but the end was tough for the Chinook Sugarbeeters and Harlem Wildcats.
Last weekend at the State B Track Meet in Missoula, the Harlem boys scored eight points to finish 19th, and Chinook scored 2.5 points. The Chinook girls scored six points to also finish in 23rd place. Columbus captured the Class B boys state championship, while Jefferson won the girls title.
Individually, Harlem's Jayvon Big Knife placed sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.53, while Ethan Walker was second in the 1,600 with a time of 4:24.44.
