    Kindergarten students through grade 12 at Turner Public School enjoyed an assembly with three firemen from the Hogeland and Turner Volunteer Fire Department. They started off by visiting with grades K-2 students and talked about fire prevention, changing batteries in smoke and fire detectors, fire drills, stop, drop, and roll drills, etc. The students enjoyed seeing the firemen come in actual fire gear and make the smoke detector "beep!"     In conjunction with September being Suicide Prevention Month, the second annual Suicide prevention walk was once again held. The day started with buses driven by Frank McGuire and Cody Ballard transporting people from the Turner Park to the Catholic Church where registration took place. While some people were either unable to walk or just chose not to, they had the option to drive a slow moving ATV.     The Turner High School Junior Senior Prom was held recently in Turner at the Old Gym. This year's theme was, "Footloose and Fancy Free."
