    The Chinook Area Chamber of Commerce held their monthly meeting at the Chamber office on main street April 13th, 2017 at 6:00pm. Fundraising ideas have been discussed the last few months and we have decided to start the Farmer Rancher Appreciation night again. Kirsti Cederberg, Peggy Van Voast, and Amy Hutton travel to Kremlin to attend a WELCA convention on Saturday. Francis Van Voast and Max Cederberg were to Medicine Hat on Saturday to a Swap Meet.     Students in grades 3-12 were recently invited to write Americanism essays for the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #109. Mrs. Brenda Mohar represented the Auxiliary recently to acknowledge their writing and show encouragement to continue writing.     Jessi and Alex Billmayer of Hogeland delivered fifty filled thermal Thirty One totes to Benefis NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) in Great Falls last weekend. This exceeded their goal from in the past. They had each bag filled with a variety of goodies including books, baby blankets, baby beanies, ice packs, hand sanitizers, notebooks and pens and pencils, and other handy items that one needs when staying overnight.     The students at Turner Public School had a blast last week during recess prior to the warmer temps and winds that melted a good share of the snow. But, prior to that, the kiddos had a blast digging and rolling snow across the playground. You can bet, where there's snow to be sculpted, there's kids. That's just a given.
