Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball team from Turner that played at Divisional in Great Falls. They played some good basketball but lost out in the Saturday morning game.     This past weekend the District Tournament was held in Havre. The Turner Tornadoes Girls took 2nd place against the Fort Benton Longhorns. Congratulations Girls!!     The Turner boys and girls basketball teams participated this weekend in the District 9C tournament. Congratulations to the girls team for their second place finish. They advance to the Divisional tournament this week in Great Falls. They play their first game on Thursday at 7:00 at the Four Seasons Arena. The Elementary students started basketball this Monday.     We had some really nice weather for the weekend, just to wake up Monday morning to more snow. I really wish the weather would just pick something and stick with it. This up and down temperature is for the birds. Well no matter what it is doing outside, it is always nice and comfortably warm here at the center.     IRENE STOUT was born on February 21, 1927 at the family home, which was 10 miles south of Climax, Sask. Canada. Irene has four son’s Paul, Dan, Wade and John. Irene was a teacher and farm wife. Irene has lived at the Center since February 10th, 2010. You can find Irene enjoying a good game of cards, part of the exercise program, helping peel potatoes, carrots, opening and locking up the doors, feeding the fish or just maybe enjoying a good cup of coffee and conversation.     Another week has come and gone so quickly. Here we are already in February of 2020. The warmer weather has been a great treat. A lot of the ice and snow disappeared. Very thankful all the volunteers who have cooked on Saturday and Sunday. It’s been a great money maker for the Center. Our cook ended up sick for a few days. So, I cooked a couple days.     Third hat I wear is the Director for the Harlem Area Senior Citizen’s Center. I was hired by the board of the Senior Center. The Senior Center rents from Northern Montana Hospital the dining room area of the building. The dining room is where the Congregate Meals are held.
