Jasmine Klingaman is 2021 recipient of the Jerry Pyette Eagles Scholarhip. She will be a sophomore at the University of Montana in Missoula and is studying Psychology. Jasmine is very excited and honored having been chosen. The Eagles Scholarship Fund was formed in 2006 to help Eagles children receive an education, if they so wish. The Blaine County Museum is looking for a new board member. Since its latest vacancy in July, the board has yet to receive any letters of interest. The process of developing the first Fresno Reservoir Fisheries Management Plan is nearing completion, and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on a draft plan developed by FWP and a 9-member Advisory Committee. Comments will be accepted from Aug. 1 until 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2021. Back in May, the Blaine County Museum's Board of Directors sponsored a logo contest to allow current residents of Blaine County the opportunity to create a logo for the museum. After receiving six original entrants, inviting additional entries, and judging those designs, Cody McCracken was named the contest winner and Shelby Denny received honorable mention. The Chinook Volunteer Fire Department was again called out to a fire on July 31, joining forces with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to contain the 'Cow Fire'. The fire burned approximately 100 acres down a steep coulee.
