Early last month, the Montana Flex2020 Task Force and the Montana Learn Task Force reported having completed their work and thanked Education Northwest for assisting in the compilation of their final reports. Kourtney Hanson of Chinook will be competing for the title of Miss Montana 2020 July 23-25 in Glendive at the DCHS auditorium at 7PM nightly. This is rescheduled from June and approved with Covid-19 safe distancing and group gathering safety requirements. Each year Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma gives a scholarship to a Blaine County High School senior planning to major in education or to a Blaine County college student majoring in education. Multiple competitions took place during the 90th Montana FFA Convention held late last month, and one of the winners was Alyssa Gruszie from the Chinook FFA. A group of community minded people saw a need and have started to take action. The Chinook Pool is in dire need of repairs and with the decline in revenue this year those repairs most likely will continue to get put on the back burner.
