Hunters and anglers can expect a few changes this year when they buy their 2020 licenses starting March 1. The most visible change Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks customers will see is a change to license paper. Starting this year, both licenses and carcass tags will be printed on normal-sized paper, and license buyers will be able to print them at home. The Chinook community hosted the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday January 7, 2020. There were 43 individuals that showed up to donate with 5 deferrals making our total number of pints donated 38 on a goal of 39. We appreciate all who braved the weather to come out and donate. The Montana Association of Clerks and Recorders is again sponsoring a $1000 scholarship for a graduating senior who will be attending an in-state college or university. Sara Davidson, the K-12 music teacher and speech and drama coach for Simms School District, welcomed competitors to the Simms/Power-Dutton-Brady speech and drama tournament on January 18. Our English, science, and math teachers volunteer to provide tutorials during lunch once a week and students attending receive a free lunch provided by our culinary arts program.
