    The Harlem Wildcat boys basketball team faced a top notch Box Elder Bears team in their season opener at the Native American Classic Basketball tournament in Havre Friday evening falling 60-30. Saturday however the boys responded with a resounding 63-34 thumping of the Kainai Warriors to even their record at 1-1. Friday, Harlem scored 39 first half points over the Kainai Warriors en-rout to a 56-32 season opening win.     The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds girls and boys basketball teams were in Billings this past weekend taking part in the Annual All-American Indian Shootout at Metra Park. Both squads came up short over the weekend however. The girls took on Lodge Grass Friday falling by a count of 77-44. Saturday they faced a talented Lame Deer team and lost 77-24.     The Turner Tornadoes dropped a pair of close contests this weekend in Glasgow to begin the season. The Tornadoes fell Friday to the Nashua Porcupines 65-61.     The Chinook wrestling program is still nursing a few bumps and bruises from the football season and took a limited number of wrestlers to the Havre Invitational this past weekend. The season opening tournament is one of the premier openers in the state featuring several defending state champions from all four classes.     The Boys basketball program in Harlem is now under the direction of Head Coach Terry Kulbeck. Kulbeck is no stranger to the coaching ranks as he has coached approximately 30 teams over the years.     Jade Cecrle had a fall to remember as she filled two tags and the family freezer. In filling her deer tag, Jade had to walk in for an hour in some of the roughest terrain in Blaine County and then put a belly crawl stock on it.
