Carmen Van Voast is pictured with John Kendall, a shoulder patient, being seen for physical therapy. The service is now being provided by Sweet Home Physical Therapy.

The Sweet Memorial Nursing Home is reorganizing their physical therapy service and will continue to provide its clients with top quality care.

According to a statement released by Administrator Jenni Pula beginning January 1, 2019 their physical therapy department will change providers but that they will continue to provide top notch services for the people in Chinook and the surrounding communities.

The new department can be referred to as Sweet Home Physical Therapy and they can be reached with referrals, are scheduling appointments and will continue with clients already receiving services at the location.

The phone and fax numbers will remain the same as they have been in the past so if you have used the service before your contact information should remain up to date.

Sweet Home Physical Therapy will be headed up by Christopher Jenness, often referred to as 'CJ' and comes to Sweet Home from Northern Montana Hospital.

Jenness has long been involved in physical therapy and has 15 years of experience under his belt. He has worked with diagnosis's ranging from post-operative joint replacement, fibromyalgia, cervical and lower back pain, to name a few.

According to a press release from Pula CJ enjoys treating lower back pain and that he also specialized in Manual Therapy, Orthopedic Sports Therapy and Dry Needling.

Dry Needling is something that hasn't been available before but Pula had mentioned that it has been requested in the past.

Originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. CJ graduated from Physical Therapy school in 2003. After working for a few years, CJ took a job as a traveling Physical Therapist and came to work in the Havre area in October of 2009.

While living on the Hi-line he has fallen in love with both the outdoors, and the people of Montana. After staying almost two years, CJ decided to see more of the west.

The impact his time on the Hi-line eventually drew him back again in 2014 when he had the opportunity to return and now calls the Hi-line home.

The Sweet Home Physical Therapy Department has been providing a needed service to the community for many years and the transition will maintain a familiar face to those who have received care over the years.
