    Wallace McRae of Rosebud County died this past week. One of Montana’s great cowboy poets, McRae has received the Montana Book of the Year award, the Montana Governor’s Award for the Arts, was nominated by President Clinton to serve on the National Council of the Arts, was listed by the Missoulian in 1999 as number 42 in the Most Influential Montanans of the Century, and was Inducted into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame.     On April 26th two Blaine County fighters entered the octagon in Browing Montana. Derek Bell of Chinook and Landen Gray of Harlem both made their Mixed Martial Arts ("MMA") debuts at part of the 2025 Fight For Our Future XI MMA Fights. While both had found success in High School wrestling and other athletic pursuits, this would be their first time stepping into the cage as organized fighters.     On November 30th, Turner kicked off the holiday season with their Big Flat Christmas Stroll and Poker Run. Christmas shoppers were able to complete their gift shopping list at the Old Gym, where around a dozen vendors sold their goods of all varieties and Christmas tunes provided by the Wet Weather Band filled the old hall.
