Harlem Elementary celebrated ‘I Love to Read’ month, featuring exciting challenges and activities throughout February and on through the first week of March. The main venture dared the students to meet the criteria for both individual and schoolwide Accelerated Reader (AR) points, with prizes awarded for top readers, plus the possibility of earning a ‘Pie in the Face’ challenge. After returning from a successful Nationals competition in Michigan, the Harlem High United Formula 1 team took time out of their busy end of the school year schedules to present a demonstration at Harlem Elementary. The NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick completion was recently held in Harlem under the supervision of Mr. Moe Denham, Harlem Elementary Physical Education teacher.
