This past Saturday, July 8, Havre Trails sponsored a hike event from Ranger Creek to Wolf Creek on the Rocky Boy's Reservation. The group met at the Bear Paw Ski Bowl parking lot at 9:00 a.m. to caravan to the trailhead. Taking around three hours to complete, this approximately five mile hike was on a trail with a gradual to moderate incline and a thousand foot elevation gain. Greetings From the Senior Center! Our annual meeting was held this past Friday, and was very well attended. We were delighted to welcome Roxanne Townsend to our board of Directors. The Chinook Lions and Harlem swim teams each had excellent showings at the annual Harlem Invitational swim meet, July 1-2. The Chinook team took home an incredible 8 high point awards, while Harlem claimed one, along with excellent performances by multiple additional swimmers. Ginger Hansen recently hosted the 7th annual Chinook Golf Course Fundraiser Auction and Dinner. Each year the annual fundraiser has proven to be the most successful fundraiser for the golf course. For the past 7 years this event has raised the most money for the Chinook Golf Course including all tournaments. Harlem Public Library launched its first StoryWalk® for the season at the Harlem City Park on June 23.
