5th Class Reunion: MSU-Northern celebrated the Class of 1976 throughout graduation weekend. I'm going to assume that if you are reading this newspaper, you are not part of Generation Z or Generation Alpha. At least, the Gen Zers (people born between 1997 and 2012 who are 14-29 years-old) and Gen Alphas (people born between 2010 and 2025 who are 0-16 years-old) I know don’t typically read an entire newspaper article. Havre Lions finished up a busy April. On Saturday April 4, 16 lions gathered at Northern Montana Boys and Girls Club to form almost 200 feet of curbing. The following weekend April 11, 18 Lions gathered to pour the curbing and sidewalks, pouring 6.5 yards of concrete. Throughout April, 10 Havre Lions went out 2 at a time to do eye screening with Bear Paw Cooperative. The most recent Havre Community Red Cross Blood Drive held at St. Jude Parish Center on Monday, May 4th , was another success. There were 90 donors, resulting in over 93 units successfully collected! Due to various reasons for deferrals there were 73 successful donations, but 10 of those were power reds, which count as 2 units, which totaled 93. Each collected unit totals 3 lifesaving products. Havre's American Legion Riders Post 11 are again set to hold a poker run to help Montana combat-injured veterans. Legion Riders have set the Fifth Annual Havre Montana Wounded Warrior Poker Run and Fundraiser for Saturday, June 6.
