Sweet Memorial Nursing Home was recently awarded a $3,000 Ag West Rural Community Grant to help fund an updated and expanded surveillance camera system. The current system is outdated and there are also areas of the facility that have little to no camara coverage at all. Last year members of the scholarship committee at the Chinook Presbyterian last did a study of the ten-year history of their scholarship program. That program, during the last decade, awarded financial grants to 38 graduating seniors from Chinook High who planned to pursue post-secondary educational programs. CHINOOK – During the fall of 2024, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks wardens requested help from the public in poaching cases involving headless deer and elk on private property in Blaine and Phillips Counties.
