The time has come to honor our local 4-H Clubs and their members for another outstanding year of achievements. The cumulative efforts of all of Blaine Counties 4-H Clubs will be on display at the Blaine County Fairgrounds this Sunday at 3:00 p.m. as awards are handed out and spaghetti dinner is enjoyed by all in attendance. The college has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant, Science Education Alliance-Phage Hunters Advancing Genomics and Evolutionary Science in Tribal Colleges and Universities (SEA-PHAGES in TCU's ). Havre, Montana –October 26, 2017 – Last evening, at the Northern Montana Sletten Cancer Center the lights stayed on longer than usual. From 6:00 until 8:00 pm visitors to the Sletten were treated to refreshments, tours of the facility and the comradery of fellow cancer patients, friends and family. The Chinook Jr./Sr. High school recently held an Active Shooter drill as part of their continued ALICE Training. ALICE stands for Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate, not in progressive order. The school was invited to be part of the program by the Blaine County Sheriff's Department as way to improve overall community safety.
