Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope everyone has dug out of the snow and can come on down to our warm senior center and join in the activities for the week.
The movie “The Lost Valentine” will be shown on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. in the library meeting room. Refreshments are provided. My favorite movie, “A River Runs Through It” is on the docket for next week. It stars Brad Pitt and was filmed in Missoula. It’s quite an award winning masterpiece from Robert Redford.
Don’t forget… Whist will be played on Wednesday, Feb. 14 after lunch.
We will be playing Bingo on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. We had to cancel it last week due to the weather.
Friday, the Kitchen Band will entertain us and after lunch we will play Pinochle. We only had 1 table last week and Mike Randall and Don Durocher won.
The center is closed on Monday for President’s Day, but there will be a potluck at noon. This is open to all, so bring a dessert or side dish and join in. There will be no deliveries that day.
The Cancer Support Group meets on Tuesday, Feb. 20 with special guest speaker Audrey Sinlayson, from A Plus Healthcare. Everyone is welcome. Call 357-2648 a day early for dinner reservations or just come hear the program.
Also on Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Milk River Genealogy Society, with host Vernelia Tilleman, meets at 1 p.m.
Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Last week’s winner was Amy Belle Smith.
Thank you to Larry Wisch, Don Berger and Art Kleinjan for keeping the sidewalks shoveled each morning so our seniors don’t fall on the ice.
The Pinochle Card Party was on Sunday with high score - Judy Chapman and low score - Cassie Morgan.
We are having a raffle for the beautiful “Double Wedding Ring” quilt donated by the late Norma Wisch. It is on display here at the center. Tickets are 6 for $5 or $1 each. The drawing will be on St. Patrick’s Day for the lucky winner.
