Harlem Library

The Book Challenge for Sept. is to read a book written before you were born. Carly will be presenting virtual story time via Facebook Live beginning Tues., Sept. 15, 10 A.M. Book Club members may pick up the new book “Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” Sept. 1-4. The first discussion will be Sept. 14, 4 P.M. via Skype using the link join.skype.com/OBq8EUM6IEwF. Masks are required in the library. Mobile hotspots are available for check out. The library will be closed Labor Day, Sept. 7. Make sure you complete the 2020 Census at my2020census.gov before Sept. 30.

Community Foudation Grants

Applicants must be either a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or an exempt governmental unit. Grants will range in size from $500 to $2,000. Grants must be used for projects benefiting communities or residents. Eligible projects must provide a direct benefit to local residents, be sustainable, and address important, unmet needs. Grant applications will be accepted Aug. 31 – October. 2, 2020. Harlem Yoked Parish

The Harlem Yoked Parish 50th Anniversary celebration scheduled for Sept. 20 has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Cemetery Board Meeting

The Cemetery Board will be meeting again Thursday, September 17th in the ECC room at the courthouse.
