The library is hosting a “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” display from December 1-December 17. We are looking for angels of all types to decorate the library for this holiday season. If you have one or more angels you would be willing to display please bring them to the library this week.

Join in the festive fun by reading a holiday book for the December Book Challenge. Two new Christmas selections are “Sleigh Bells Ring” by RaeAnne Thayne and “Santa Cruise” by Fern Michaels. We also have an extensive collection of other holiday titles on our Christmas Book Tree.

Story Time is held each Tuesday at 10 A.M. for little ones ages 0-5 and their parents or caregivers. Grade school students are encourages to attend After School Squad on Wednesdays at 3:30 for STEAM activities. Lego Club for all ages is held on Thursdays at 4:30. Please note the time for Lego Club will change to 3:30 on Thursdays beginning January 6.

The Book Club will not meet during the month of December. We will start up again in the New Year.

The library has a great selection of periodicals for you to read. We subscribe to the Great Falls Tribune, the Havre Daily News and the Blaine County Journal.

We also have number of magazines that may be checked out for one week.

Three new arrivals for historical fiction fans include “The Stolen Lady” by Laura Morelli, “The Inheritance” by JoAnne Ross, and “The Ballad of Laurel Springs” by Janet Beard.

“The Long Call” is a new suspense novel by Ann Cleeves introducing Detective Matthew Venn. Detective Venn stands outside the church where as his estranged father’s funeral takes place. As he leaves he receives a call that a body has been found on a nearby beach: a man with an albatross tattoo. The case takes Matthew back to his past where deadly secrets are hidden.

Meg Cabot is the author of “No Words.” Children’s novelist Jo Wright would never set foot on Little Bridge Island in the Florida Keys as long as her nemesis, author Will Price, lives there. But she is offered an all-expense paid trip to speak and sign at the Islands’ first-ever book festival. Hearing Will is off-island at the film production of his next book convinces Jo she must go.
