Happy New Year! Make one of your New Year’s Resolutions to visit your library more (and check out more books!)

New titles ready for check out include suspense thrillers “The Collective” by Alison Gaylin, “Confessions on the 7:45” by Lisa Unger, and “The Last Goodnight” by Kat Martin.

Historical fiction fans will want to read “Once Upon a Wardrobe” by Patti Callahan and “The Warsaw Orphan” by Kelly Rimmer.

Anthony Horowitz continues his Detective Daniel Hawthorne mystery series with “A Line to Kill.”

“The Secret of Snow” is by Viola Shipman. When Sonny Dunes loses her job as a meteorologist in sunny California to a virtual forecaster, she moves back home to Michigan where she must confront her past. As she tries to rebuild her career she must make peace with who she used to be and open her heart to new possibilities.

The Book Club’s new selection is “If the Creek Don’t Rise” by Leah Weiss. Members may pick up their copy this week. The first discussion will be January 10, 4 P.M.

Other programming has resumed for the new year. Story Time meets on Tuesdays at 10 A.M. for infants and toddlers and their parents/caregivers. After School Squad explores STEAM activities for elementary students on Wednesdays at 3:30. Lego Club for all ages is held on Thursdays at the new time of 3:30 P.M.

The Book Challenge for January is to read a collection of short stories. You may see the complete Book Challenge list for 2022 on our Facebook page, website, or pick up a copy at the library.

An exciting addition to MontanaLibrary2Go are three new resources available to users for free this year. These include “Method Learning” for ACT and SAT Test prep, “The Great Courses Library Collection” which include 250 unique courses, and “Universal Class” offering over 500 online continuing education classes. These are available using the Libby App which can be found on the Overdrive homepage. You may download the Libby app on your device from the app store or find it at libbyapp.com. If you do not have a MontanaLibrary2Go account, you will need to have your library card number to set one up. Contact the library for more information. Montana State Library has made theses resources available using ARPA funds.

The library will be closed Monday, January 17 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
