If there is one thing that can be said about the Harlem Wildcat boys basketball team it's this, If you are a fan of up tempo, high scoring, fast paced action you will never be disappointed watching them play.

Win or lose the Wildcats play hard, play fast and are never out of it. Friday in Poplar the Wildcats won a barn burner, defeating the Indians 85-79. Saturday they returned home to the Jungle where they played host to the District 2B No. 2 Wolf Point Wolves. The visitors came out on top in another fast paced contest, 67-60.

The Poplar Indians may have yet to win a conference game, but they can sure score the ball. Friday the Wildcats found themselves in a track meet from the opening tip.

The Wildcats scored seven triples in a 29 point first quarter to lead by eight. Senior RJ Ramone added 10 markers before the half and senior DeShon Shambo five, giving Harlem a 49-38 halftime lead.

Wildcat senior Tyler Cichosz scores in the paint Saturday night at home against the Wolf Point Wolves. Cichosz finished the contest with 10 points.

They didn't slow down following the intermission either. Ramone score eleven more in the third and 16 in the second half, giving Harlem the fire power needed to secure a 85-79 win. Ramone finished the contest with a game high 32 points.

The Wildcats were hoping to make a statement against the Wolves Saturday night and it just didn't happen.

Things were on track early on with a 16-14 lead heading into the second quarter. The Wildcats maintained a slim cushion, 32-30 at the break and even pushed the lead to five, 48-43 to start the fourth.

The final eight minutes were a struggle from the start. A turnover here, a missed shot there and suddenly the Wolves had slowly taken control of the flow of the game.

Wolf Point won the fourth quarter 24-12 to secure the 67-60 win and hand the Wildcats a disappointing conference loss. Lawrence led the Wildcat attack with 23 points, knocking down five from distance along the way. Ramone score 11 while senior Tyler Cichosz added 10.
