Our Sweet Mother, Who Was Such a Blessing!

My mom, Gladys (Rambo) Burkhartsmeyer was born with a smile on her face according to her older sister. She never lost her smile even though she wore many hats simultaneously. Mom played organ at the Catholic Church, sewed a lot of dresses for my sisters and me, taught piano out of our home, was on the road between Chinook and our ranch out south and was raising nine children.

Whenever anyone asked her, “Why so many children?”, Mom would always smile and say, “What would I do without any one of them?”
