We've Got The County Covered

Chinook Senior Center

Hello From the

Chinook Senior Center

So, HE HAS RISEN and HALLELUJAH! Where oh where would any of us be without the resurrection? We trust that you all had a wonderful Easter holiday spent with the knowledge that HE died and rose again….for US!!!

Ugh, tax day! Ha Ha! Well, as they say…two things are certain……taxes and death. God is in control of one and the IRS is in control of the other.

April has been a challenge for Mother Nature, evidently as we have seen lots of different weather patterns this month, already. I guess that’s the joy of living in Montana! Most of us wouldn’t trade where we live for anything, as we are removed from so very much other distress that the big cities are facing. Are we still the last best place? I think so.

Kevin Elias and Brian Rayburn will be coming in soon to talk about the upcoming elections and the mill levies to keep us all apprised of what we should be aware of when making decisions that affect us all. I very much appreciate their time and care for us.

We live in a small community where there are always others to look out for us and for our safety. Yes, indeed, we are blessed to call Chinook “home”.

Tuesday, April 21st will be the next visit from our friends, Gene Allen, Sheri Neuens, Lynn Heggen and hopefully, Stan Wall to provide us with the JOY OF MUSIC! I certainly hope that you all decide to come and join us between 10:00 & 12:00 on that day, so that they will know how truly appreciated they are. They take the time to pack up lots of equipment and drive here, BECAUSE WE MATTER! Let’s make certain that they know that their efforts matter also.

LUNCH FOR THE WEEK:

Wed., April 15th: Baked Potato Bar (10:00, Limber Up., 1:00 All Crafts) Board Mtg @ 3:15

We ask that you call before 10:00 for all meals, whether delivered or to join us. As always, we are only to deliver to those who are truly unable to come into the center to either pick them up or to join us. If you are receiving home-delivered meals and your pathway is not cleared by yourself or someone who can help you, please be aware that we will not be able to continue delivery to you. We cannot put our volunteer drivers in harm’s way. Thank you for your understanding. We work very hard at providing you with wonderful, nutritious meals for a very low suggested donation of $7.00 per meal.

Our annual Fussy, Fancy Mother’s Day Brunch will be held on Saturday, May 9th @ 11:30. We have a sign-up sheet and you will need a reservation. Please, no children, or men. This is for Mothers and all that they do!!

We have coffee/tea gatherings each morning, with cookies. We hope that you choose to join us. We have HOT coffee, warm conversation and a heart for our community. Be a part!

LET’S CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR NATION, OUR LEADERS AND OUR TROOPS!

Today is a very good day to make a difference!
