Blaine County MSU Extension and North Central Montana Stockgrowers Association to host informal meeting

On February 21st, Blaine County MSU Extension and North Central Montana Stockgrowers Association will be hosting an informational meeting for land owners and cattle producers.

Starting at 4 pm, Stephen Vantassel, Vertebrate Pest Specialist for the Montana Department of Agriculture, will share with participants methods to control prairie dogs and pocket gophers in Montana.

Additionally, Dr. Tony Moravec, with Veterinary Services at Merial Animal Health will speak about why parasites are an issue in cattle and how spring deworming can benefit livestock producers in Montana. North Central Montana Stockgrowers Association President Clinton Pankratz will also give an update about what the association has been working on and what Stockgrower events are on the horizon.

The meeting will be in the Chinook Eagles meeting area and we ask that you RSVP to the Blaine County MSU Extension Office by calling 357-3200.
