    Blaine County producers are seeding at a feverish pace, trying to get all their crops planted in time. According to the USDA those crops being planted seen some increase and decrease over the course of the winter. Growers are expected to plant 20,000 more acres of corn as well as increasing Oats production by 5,000 acres.     Under Governor Steve Bullock’s Directive for a Phased Reopening of Montana, beginning May 7, all schools were given the option to return to in-classroom teaching delivery. However, none of the area schools will be opening their buildings for the remainder of this school year.     On a visit to Chinook a few weeks ago I ran in to Dr. Robert Chaffin who owns and operates the Chinook Dental Clinic. I'd heard Dr. Chaffin had bought the former Wells Fargo building and there were several unofficial versions floating around about his plans for the building.     April 14, 1927-April 26, 2020. Corrie was born Cornelia Vlijm on April 14, 1927 to Willem Vlijm and Jansje Van Der Does in Ermelo, the Netherlands. She was the youngest of six children. Corrie lived in Holland during the Nazi occupation and was heavily involved in the Dutch underground hiding and saving Jews. Her family home was seized by German sympathizers and subsequently bombed.     The coronation of Royalty for the 2019-2020 school year took place Wednesday, January 29th at the Turner School. A fun evening was had by all watching all the kids celebrating with a float presentation, pep rally, dinner, and the royalty all dressed up and coronation presented. They were selected to be published in the 2020 edition of Young American Poetry Digest. The final step in the publishing process is for the students and their parents to complete, sign, and return permission slips by May 20.
