Out our way, although rare, we still have mountain lion attacks. You may recall one Fall when a jogger and later a hunter were attacked and mauled while in the Bear Paws. Now I have never run into any up on “The Tiger Ridge” where we keep the cow/calf units , but also 6 bulls. However, the lions are still out there watching and waiting to sneak attack the unwary. An anonymous donor has made a major donation to the Havre Women's Golf Association (HWGA) Assistance Fund in honor of the Northern Montana Sletten Cancer Center's new doctor. At the Hill County Commissioners meeting on May 21, District 3 Commissioner Bill Lanier, a Democrat, announced that he was resigning from his seat. His last day was May 25. You know, Lord, several gals recently are NEW MOTHERS. They’re so excited; those babies are so cute and sweet; they can already SMILE! Out of our way, besides pastoring a small church, I also rode with Charlie on the Tiger Ridge working Big Mike’s herd. I had two horses back then, Doc and Babe. Doc was big — 17 hands and 1200 pounds they tell me. He had a terrible gait — like riding a jack hammer. And 4 left feet (hooves), constantly tripping over himself and often tossing me.
