Last week the American Lutheran Church hosted the Chinook Chamber's first Business After Hours of 2017. It was the second time for the local congregation to host the event and the 'rerun' did not disappoint with an opportunity to hear about ministries the church is doing. Add to that fresh lefse, off the griddles as guests arrived, and an assortment of finger foods. It was a great evening with lots of visiting and catching up with neighbors and friends. Jen Hellman, Chamber Secretary, welcomed...
Samantha Wender, a Producer with NBC News, spent part of last week in Blaine County “listening to folks, doing some filming and research.” Wender’s interest in Blaine County has to do with a story she plans about “how folks can coexist when their political views are so evenly split.” If and when a show is completed, it would be shown on NBC’s TODAY show. Blaine County is one of only a few counties that met Wender’s criteria for a visit—“where the vote for President in 2016 was divided between the two candidates by only 50-100 votes.” There was...

Except for the final banquet and health screenings, all events are free. Seed show activities are in and around the Harlem High School. Paul Rasmussen, who has served as Chair...
In an expression of our gratitude, the 68th Montana Seed Show has chosen to dedicate this year’s show to the Blaine County 4-H and FFA members. As the years have gone by, our committee members have grown older and wiser. Ask any of them how much work goes into setting up and taking down the Seed Show. We’re very fortunate to have these young volunteers willing to help us out. Over the years, several 4-H clubs have participated in various events during the seed show. Whether it’s an educational display or a booth selling tickets for a fundraiser...
