  • Harlem Lutheran Church hosts Annual Harvest Dinner & Bazaar

    On Sunday, Oct. 25, the Harlem Lutheran Church will host their annual Harvest Dinner and Bazaar from noon to 2 p.m. On the menu will be ham with all the trimmings and dessert. Take-outs and deliveries are available; call 353-2234. Prices for the dinner are $8 for adults, $5 for ages 6 to 12, and ages 5 and under are free. In addition to the meal, a bazaar and bake sale will offer homemade baked goods and crafts. The church is also sponsoring a raffle with all proceeds to go to Lutheran World Relief, an organization that works around the world...

    By Sandra Boardman The election for council members in the City of Chinook and City of Harlem will be voting by mail ballot. This type of election allows the voter the convenience of voting at home and simply returning the ballot by mail or delivering it to the Blaine County Clerk and Recorder’s office at the courthouse.     The Chinook Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) conducted a very realistic Fire Drill last Wednesday at both the Meadowlark Elementary and Chinook High Schools. Those aware of the drills were limited to elementary principle Jonathan Martin, high school principle Matt Molyneaux and Chinook schools and Superintendent Darrin Hannum.
