The Chinook Sugarbeeter wrestling team and their managers take time for a picture showcasing their second consecutive State Class C Wrestling Championship. Sophomore manager Megan Pruttis, senior Kenny Pruttis, senior Kevin Young, senior Jake Norby, junior Tate Niederegger, senior Derek Bell, sophomore manager Talia Sharples and senior manager Hattie Niederegger honored and remembered teammate Jesse Dannels by carrying a poster of him wherever they went and holding him in their hearts as they took part in the All-Class State Wrestling Tournament in Billings this weekend.
The news traveled like wild fire after a very tragic accident that happened the afternoon of February 7, 2016. Jesse James Dannels, 18, of Chinook, had been killed in a car accident. "Is this really true?" was the question that so many were asking.
Monday morning at Chinook High School was anything but normal for the faculty and students.
