LeAnn Books, a water engineer with Morrison Maierle in Helena, presented a preliminary engineering report (PER) regarding Chinook’s water treatment and distribution system at a recent public hearing held at city hall. Books said, “A preliminary engineering report is part of a larger planning document that allows the city to look at its future needs regarding water, assess the current situation and consider deficiencies that need to be addressed to plan for future water needs.” The last PER was conducted in 2013.
