Governor Bullock appoints Chinook's Yvonne Laird to 17th Judicial Court

Chinook resident Yvonne Laird has been appointed by Governor Steve Bullock to replace outgoing judge John Mckeon on the 17th Judicial Court Bench.

Yvonne Laird of Chinook has been selected by Governor Steve Bullock to fill the 17th Judicial Court seat being vacated by the retirement of Judge John McKeon.

Laird is a graduate of Blue Sky High School in Rudyard, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia College and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Montana.

She currently owns her own practice, Laird Law Office, PLLC, and previously has worked for Montana Legal Services and the Blaine County Attorney's Office as both the Deputy County Attorney and County Attorney.

Laird will be sworn in this coming January....
