Sometimes it's kind of fun being in the doghouse! The Harlem Elementary School hallways were filled with Disney characters from all your favorite classics. The school held a Disney Showcase on January 25th that included a concert by the fourth grade class. The students researched, completed writing projects and filled each hallway with their chosen theme. Family, friends and the community were invited to come and check out their work

Harlem Elementary's Disney Showcase kicked off Wednesday afternoon (January 25th), with a concert performed with the 4th grade class singing all of the Disney movie favorites for their families, friends, and school mates.

Later that evening, the Elementary opened its doors to the public as they showcased Disney themed hallways, characters, and student projects.

Each grade level chose popular Disney movies including "Inside Out," "101 Dalmatians," "Zootopia," "Moana," "Madagascar," "Winnie the Pooh," "Up," and "Frozen." Plus, two of the meanest Disney villains were also on hand, trying to undo the good deeds of our ROARing students, obviously without success!

Once the students selected a movie, they researched and completed various writing projects, dioramas, STEM experiments, and crystal growths, all correlating to their chosen topics. Of course, each movie title had a hallway dedicated to its particular theme.

Family and friends had a great time sipping hot chocolate and coffee while munching cookies as they browsed the various displays amid the elaborately decorated hallways.

The extra time and effort dedicated to perfecting the showcase for our families and community was definitely noted and appreciated by all who attended.
