The Chinook Senior Center is proud to announce that Art Kleinjan was voted “Senior of the Year.” Congratulations, Art!
Whist is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14 at 1 p.m.
Thursday morning is the Strong People exercise class at 10:30 a.m. and then we have Bingo at 1 p.m. Our winner last week was Francis Ewing.
Friday, June 16, will be our Father’s Day celebration with a roast beef lunch. Don’t forget, meal cards make great presents for Father’s Day. The Kitchen Band will be playing and Pinochle is scheduled for the afternoon. Last week’s Pinochle winners were Mike Randall and Rochelle Wohlschlager.
There is a potluck on Monday, June 20, so there will be no deliveries that day. You are welcome to bring a dish and join in the fun. It starts at noon.
The Cancer Support Group meets on Tuesday, June 20 at 11:30 a.m. Please call ahead for dinner reservations or just come hear Laura Shellman, Nurse Practitioner of the Sweet Medical Center.
Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon. Last week’s winner was Clarice Morse.
Memberships are due this month. They are $10. You can renew them by mail, bring it to the center, or give them to our meal delivery driver. If you want to vote for board members at the annual meeting in July, you must be a member.
The card party met last Sunday and the winners were: High – Mike Randall, Low- Frances Ewing and Double Pinochle winners were Elisabeth O’ Brien and Connie Stanley. Amy Belle Smith had 1500 Trump.
