Harlem Library

April 7, 2021

Celebrate National Library Week this week! Show your appreciation and support for the Harlem Public Library by sharing how your library has made a difference during the pandemic. Tell about an ebook, audiobook, virtual story time, book club, hotspot or a way your library supplied a service you needed. On Facebook use the hashtag #MyLibraryIs and make sure to tag Harlem Public Library in your post. Patrons may also submit entries in person at the library. A randomly selected winner will receive a Fire HD 8 tablet from the library. Call the library for more information at 353-2712.

The Book Challenge for April is to read a book in a different format than you usually read. For example, you may read a digital ebook or audiobook.

You may also listen to an audiobook on CD from the library. Other formats include large print or graphic novels.

The library will be closed Friday, April 16, as staff will be attending virtual training through the Montana Library Association conference.

Virtual Story Time for the children is held each Tuesday at 10 A.M. on Facebook Live. Join in for a fun time of stories, songs and fingerplays. Be sure to like our library Facebook page so you can watch.

Parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers are encouraged to participate in the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” program sponsored by the library.

Keep track of each book you read to or with your child by using the ReadSQUARED app or visit harlempubliclibrary.readsquared.com to get started. When you register, your child will be awarded a free board book from the library. Instill a lifelong love of reading and get your youngster ready for school. Prizes will be awarded as milestones are met!
