Havre Trails to Host 4th Annual Summer Brewfest

Havre Trails recently announced their 4th Annual Summer Brewfest. This year's event will occur on Saturday, August 20 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Havre's Pepin Park. Event organizers promise dozens of Montana beers, a variety of food options, and live music.
In addition to Vizsla and Triple Dog Brewing based in Havre, other breweries that will be represented at the event include Beaver Creek (Wibaux), Busted Knuckle (Glasgow), Mighty MO (Great Falls) Blue Ridge Brewing (Malta), and Phillipsburg Brewing Company (Phillipsburg).
Food vendors planned for the brewfest are Streatery, Pretty Paint Catering, Bear Paw Bowls, and Chachi's Tacos.
On the music scene, the opening artist will be Havre's own Corey Kopp who will take the stage to entertain the crowd. Kopp's performance will be followed by that of Bubba Fett, a four-piece psychedelic electricana band out of Livingston, Montana. The band's origins can be found in the husband/wife duo, Rich and Steph Clewis. These self-proclaimed "Space Cowboys" combine elements of Americana, modern rock, psychedelia, and blues to create their signature sound. Their songs incorporate stories and themes from the old west, science fiction, and the supernatural that evoke a range of emotions in the listener.
Those who wish to drink must be 21 and bring an ID, regardless of age. Non-drinkers are welcome to visit the food trucks and to enjoy the free live music.
According to Lindsey Bennett, President of Havre Trails, the Summer Brewfest is a fundraiser for Havre Trails. The mission of this nonprofit organization is to promote and improve recreational trails in and around Havre.
Proceeds from the last three brewfest events allowed Havre Trails to create not only the Rotary Canyon Loop Trail north of Bear Paw (Second) Lake but the new Brough's Coulee Loop off of the Bear Paw Nature Trail in Beaver Creek Park. That project is still in progress.
"Your attendance at Summer Brewfest helps us continue to bring exciting projects to the area! Please help spread the word," Bennett said.
Bennett added, "The contributions of key sponsors are making future trail infrastructure possible for the Havre area."
