Charlotte Jean Thackeray, 86, passed away on March 5, 2023 at the Sidney Health Center with family by her side.

Charlotte was born in Chinook, MT in 1937 to Alice (Overcast) and John O'Brien.

She grew up in Chinook with her "Overcast" family and remained close to many of her cousins. Once grown, Charlotte moved to Glendive and worked at MDU as a bookkeeper. She married Webster Thackeray in 1967 and became the mother of his children, Kay and Glen. Webster and Charlotte lived many years on the ranch south of Havre before moving to town in 1993 for retirement.

In retirement, she worked at the Senior Center in Havre; a good job where she made many new friends. In 2010, they moved to The Lodge in Sidney to be closer to family. Due to their declining health, she moved to the Sidney Extended Care to live with her husband of 55 years in 2021.

She is survived by her husband, Webster; son, Glen and his daughters Meagan, Courtney (Chris), and Darlett; daughter, Kay (Patrick), and their children Wyatt (Kate), and Jackie (Jake); and their five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Jack.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Havre, MT.
