Charles Lee Schilling

Charles Lee Schilling was the 2nd child born to Ervin (Bud) and Helen Marker Schilling on September 14, 1946 at Harlem Hospital and Clinic in Harlem, MT.

Chuck attended school in Harlem, graduating in 1966. Chuck was a mechanic and also painted cars. Around 1978 to 1982, they bought the spa in Zurich. Chuck redid the basement at the spa and held many dances and Azure reunion/get togethers there. They moved back to Harlem in 1983. He started "C and I Painting" in his garage, fixing cars and painting cars and houses with his wife and children. They bought a building to do his mechanic work in 1985 and he retired around 2000. He continued to do farming with John Cowell and mechanic work until he couldn't anymore.

In 1970, Chuck met his wife Iona. Chuck was very excited to introduce his "girlfriend" to his good friend Alan Azure, not knowing that she was Alan's sister. Chuck and Iona got married June 10, 1971. Chuck welcomed her four children as his own, adopting Eileen in 1973. Iona and Chuck renewed their vows on June 8, 1996 at St Thomas Church in Harlem. Chuck and Iona were married for 47 years at the time of her passing.

Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Iona; parents Bud and Helen Schilling; brothers Wayne and Jerry Schilling, sisters in law Anna Fetter, Ruby Romero, Pearl Swan, and Mona Bell Azure; brothers in law Gordon Azure, Robert (Bob) Azure, and Frank (Pockets) Azure, and Daughter Roberta Raye Azure.

Chuck is survived by children Eileen Schilling of Harlem, Andrea Quintana of Harlem, Aaron Azure of Havre, and Joe Azure of Havre; grandchildren Talia Grant of Harlem, Shawn (Claire) Tsosie of Washington, Jay Tsosie of Missoula, Roberta Quintana of Harlem, Christine Schilling of Havre, Weslyn (Veronica) Schilling of Harlem, Madison Cole of Harlem, Lecia Pronto of Billings, Autumn (Steve) Azure of Missoula; great grandchildren Desmond Grant of Havre, Caleb Grant of Harlem, Dontez Lone Bear of Billings, Marena, Hazel, and Rebecca Gone of Havre, Tierra Quintana of Harlem, Luna Azure and Harper Pflaum of Missoula, Simone Tsosie of Washington, Maliki, Lincoln, and Jaxton Schilling Tangen of Harlem; siblings Sharon (Don) Bruyer, Mark (Kelly) Schilling, Bill (Eileen) Schilling; brother in law Alan (Peggy) Azure; sisters in law Ann Azure and Lori Azure; and life long friends Bob Roudebush, and Jug and Sissy McGuire.
