Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center!
We kicked off our Cornhole League this past Monday & did we ever have fun!!! If you haven’t tried it, you should. We had people from 55-90 playing & it was enjoyed by all.
We also had our first round of Billiards played last Friday & Brad Taylor is the champion……but let’s see what this week brings.
I have contacted the City of Chinook to request that handicapped curbs be placed between our Center & the Villa, to make it easier for those who are finding it challenging. They are a great crew & are working towards helping us with that endeavor. It might not be this year, but let’s never give up hope. Where there is life, there is always hope.
We are moving forward with our Walk with Ease class & I believe that this class will be beneficial for ALL ages, so please call & join us! These classes will be held every Mon. & Wed. at 10:30. We have had to eliminate Fridays, due to the band playing. Protecting our health & remaining active at every age is vital to movement.
Our October calendar is getting fun of lots of activities. We had originally scheduled our Poets & Pickers session for Tues., Oct. 3rd, however, due to the Aging Conference in Great Falls, we have had to reschedule this event for the following Tues, Oct. 10th. If you missed that last one, you missed a very good time, so……..GET IN HERE!
Remember, our Cornhole league is every Monday from 1:00-3:00. Our Billiards league is every Friday from 2:00-4:00. We have Cribbage every Tues, @ 1:00 & Bingo each Thursday from 1:00-3:00. Our Caramel Rolls are baked fresh every Thursday morning & are ready by 7:00. We would love it if you would call us on Wednesdays & order, so that we know how many we are making. 357-2648
