'Beeters top Rocky Boy 3-0 in Homecoming match & Fall to Conrad

The Chinook Sugarbeeter Volleyball team split a pair of conference matches in action this week. Thursday night the Beeters welcomed the Rocky Boy Morning Stars to town in a homecoming match. The 'Beeters wasted little time in dispatching the visitors, winning the match in straight sets. Saturday the 'Beeters headed to Conrad to take on the Cowgirls in the team's second meeting of the season. Chinook fought hard but it wasn't enough as the Cowgirl's claimed a 3-1 win over the 'Beeters. Chinook's record now sits at 4-3 in the District 1B standings.

The 'Beeters were fired up and ready to go Thursday night as they welcomed the Rocky Boy Morning Stars to town. Ready to entertain a celebratory Homecoming crowd the 'Beeters were quick to secure the momentum. Rocky Boy came showing a little fight in set number one but in the end, it was the 'Beeters who secured a 25-15 opening set win.

Chinook was firing on all cylinders in set number two as they took control early and never looked back. The'Beeters rolled to a 25-8 set win to go up 2-0 in the match. Set number three was more of the same as Chinook again cruised, winning the set 25-9 to complete the sweep of the Morning Stars.

The 'Beeters were led by senior Hallie Neibauer who slammed home 10 of the team's 32 Kills on the night. Junior Rilee Molyneaux served up a team high 10 Aces while also leading the team in Digs with 9. Senior Mya Berreth set the hitters up with 21 Assists.

Saturday the 'Beeters were in Conrad looking to avenge a five-set loss earlier in the season. The opening set was a back and forth thriller with both teams looking to take control. The Cowgirls pulled out a hard fought 25-23 first set win. The 'Beeters fought back in set number two, securing a 25-18 set win to even the match at a set apiece. The third set was all Conrad as the 'Beeters got startled offensively, falling 25-13. Chinook bounced back in set number four but were a step behind as the Cowgirls secured a 25-22 set win to win the match 3-1.

Neibauer again paced the 'Beeter attack with a team high 13 Kills. Junior Addison Olsen served up three of the teams nine Aces. Molyneaux dug up 15 balls to lead the team. Neibauer secured the net with seven of the teams 16 Blocks. Berreth led the way with 18 of the teams 36 Assists.
