Just prior to National Poppy Day, which will be celebrated this year on Friday, May 23, five Turner Public School (TPS) students were announced as Poppy Poster winners in an impromptu ceremony on May 14. American Legion Auxiliary (ALA), Unit 109 of Turner selected Jordan Cook, Zane Grabofsky, Savannah Heilig, and Natalie Richman as Unit honorees. Unit President Brenda Mohar was on hand to make the presentations.
