The fair will kick off on the 4TH OF JULY at the fairgrounds in Chinook, Montana, with the Kids Rodeo scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, July 4th, which is also slated to be the Opening Day for the carnival. Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) officials announced today the Chinook Field Office of Public Assistance will close no later than January 31. However, the office may close sooner depending on staff availability. The Chinook Field Office is located at 500 Illinois. The National Tree past through Blaine County in November on its way to the Capitol lawn in Washington D..C. The tree was harvested in the Kootenai National Forest in western Montana. Promoters of the erection of an indoor arena at the Blaine County Fairgrounds are optimistic site work could begin sometime in the spring of 2018.
