I want to thank the US government for getting back to work. In those 50-some days, I was inundated with calls about the SNAP program. We, as Montana Legislators, could do very little to fix the fact that the United States government was locked down. The question for me was not, “Why are 50,000 households in Montana not getting SNAP?” But rather, “How have we gotten to the point where all these households are dependent on SNAP benefits in the first place?” I have asked folks who are way smarter than myself. The Chinook High School golf teams hit the links last week, competing in back-to-back tournaments with strong showings from both the boys and girls squads. Sunburst Invitational – April 10 | Shelby, MT The Beeters traveled to the Marias Valley Golf Course in Shelby on Thursday, April 10, to take part in the Sunburst Invitational. The legislative boundaries were dramatically shaken up during the last redistricting cycle. What used to be two districts is now comprised of one long area ranging from Chester to Opheim.
