    The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds have been in some battles this season with every game being contested and exciting. The 1-2 Thunderbirds were looking to even there record heading into the contest with the Centerville Miners Saturday afternoon at Sullivan field in Hays. The Miners also possessed a 1-2 record setting the stage for a competitive afternoon of eight man football.     The Harlem Wildcats fell to 1-2 on the season following a 56-16 lost to the Cut Bank Wolves in a non-conference clash between Class B foes. The Wildcats fell behind early, 20-0, but a Terrance Messerly touchdown run cut the deficit to 20-8. The Wildcats however were not able to trim the deficit anymore in a 56-16 loss.
