    The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds took on the District 1B Rocky Boy Northern Stars last Tuesday. It was the home opener for the Thunderbirds and it also marked the first time they had faced the Morning Stars since they made the move to Class B following the 2009 season.     The Turner Tornado girls basketball teams struggles on the court continued this past weekend. Friday in their home opener they welcomed the Fort Benton Longhorns to town. Fort Benton got off to a fast start early on and the Tornadoes did their best to keep pace. The Longhorns held a 18-11 advantage at the end of eight minutes of action. This marked the first meeting between the two teams since Rocky Boy left the District 9C following the 2009 season.     The Chinook Sugarbeeters performed very well at the Scottie Invitational in Glasgow this past weekend.
