The Blaine County Cruisers will host their annual fall car show this Saturday, September 23rd at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. The Car Show has been held in conjunction with the Sugarbeet Festival but with the festival not taking place this year the Cruisers decided to still go forward with their show. August is a good month to take a vacation in Glacier National Park. While there plan to stay for several nights in the Lake McDonald valley on the west side of the Park. While east side campgrounds can be very hot, the Lake McDonald campgrounds are very cool. Two are larger camping units. They are Apgar and Fish Creek. Sunday was a gorgeous day with sunshine and a bit of a breeze at the Phillips County Fairgrounds in Dodson, a perfect day for enjoying competition involving horses. The lovely yard of Doris Hofeldt is like a perfect carpet with colorful and graceful perennials and annuals taking turns at their prime bloom times. Doris has widened and redesigned her sidewalks east and west and has placed a white vinyl fence on the north edge of her new sidewalk. A large group of elementary aged children gathered recently at the Turner American Lutheran Church for a fun, week long Vacation Bible School adventure. This year the theme was Fun Maker Factory and the decorations were of the same theme.
