On Sunday, Oct. 30, the Harlem Lutheran church will host their annual Harvest Dinner and Bazaar from 12:00 to 2:00. The menu will be roast pork loin, baked potato, all the trimmings and dessert. Reporter's note: Last winter Max Hofeldt, a longtime sheep producer in the Chinook area, told me a producer from eastern Washington state would be bringing a flock of ewes and lambs to pasture south of Chinook for the summer. The Summer Reading Program officially came to a close on Friday. Winners were drawn for the prizes. To enter for a prize, kids had to read for 2 hours. For every 2 hours of reading they could put their name in a box for one of four prizes.
