Since the 1970's a group of quilters has gathered together at the American Lutheran Church in Chinook to spend the better part of each year to make quilts to donate at years end. No one is sure where Sizemore obtained the collection but research has shown it to be from the David Hamberber company in New York, New York. Last week the Blaine County Library in Chinook held its 27th Annual Hassle-Free Christmas program. The event offers simple to make holiday decorating tips, holiday music and a Christmas-time story. Rod Wagner and his wife Lorie took over operations of the Harlem Lumber store back in 2012 when they purchased the operation from Lorie's parents Charlie and Kay Brekke. For the third year, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 has a shoulder season that allows antlerless elk hunting with a specific B-license. The past two years, the shoulder season was two weeks long, but this year the season has been extended 15 days and will run from Dec. 15-Jan. 15, 2019.
