The final results are in at Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Havre check station for the 2018 hunting season. The check station was open for eight weeks; from Oct. 6 (the open of general antelope) through Nov. 25 (the end of the deer/elk general season). The 33rd Annual Parade of Lights and 8th Annual Festival of Trees were held this past Friday in downtown Chinook. The Parade this year included more than 20 floats that made their way down main street where a large crowd lined both sides of the street. Blaine I, the ambulance crew that serves the Chinook area, started a planned 180-hour class to license new Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). The class began the first week of November and meets two nights per week, with one weekend meeting each month. Facilitators teaching the class say the program will be completed in mid-February. Connie Zanto was recently appointed the new Director at the Harlem Senior Center. The Landusky native who spent most her adult life in Malta replaced Katie Noel. Noel has served as director at the center since June, 2011. Noel is leaving to marry and be a pastor's wife in Vegreville, Alberta. The Big Flat 4-H Club met at Reed’s Elevator on Nov. 18, 2018 at noon. There were eight members present and three leaders. Roll call was a favorite Thanksgiving dish.
