    Two weeks ago a new business opened in downtown Chinook. Located in what was once the Golden Triangle Mental Health facility (236 Indiana), Chinook's Creative Collections is a 'gallery' where local artists can rent individual space to display and sell their creations.     Despite piles of snow in the parking lot and against the building, Chinook’s Creamery opened last week. The Creamery is a seasonal ice cream shop that opens in the spring and closes when the weather turns cold in the fall.     Chinook has been host to two Young Adult Volunteers (commonly known as YAVs), Lauren LaMonica and Lacy Schimmel since the end of August last year. This program is an ecumenical, faith-based year of service for young people, ages 19-30, in 22 sites around the world and in the United States. YAVs accompany local agencies working to address root causes of poverty and reconciliation while exploring the meaning and motivation of their faith with peers and mentors.     A women's retreat was held in early March at the Grand Union Hotel in Fort Benton. While organized by some women from the Chinook Alliance Church, it was open to any who wished to attend.
