9 Chinook High School graduate Ian McIntosh was one heck of an Athlete for the Sugarbeeters. An All-State Quarterback for the 2015 Class C Eight-man State Champion Football team as well as an All-Conference/guard for the Basketball team. The Chinook Sugarbeeter football team capped their Homecoming week with a dominate thrashing of the visiting Shelby Coyotes Friday night. Once the 'Beeter offense got rolling they were nearly unstoppable racking up 380 yards on the ground and another 86 through the air for 466 yards of total offense in a dominate 40-18 win to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Harlem Wildcats got to play in front of their home town fans for the first time after two weeks on the road to start the season. The Wildcats added the finishing touches to a fun Homecoming week by thumping the visiting Rocky Boy Stars 54-8 to improve to 2-1 on the season. Cross Country has been competed at the high school level for nearly 60 years. Boys Cross Country first competed as a Montana High School Association (MHSA) sanctioned sport in the fall of 1964 consisting of two classifications 'A' and 'B'. The 26th Annual Fireball Four Person Scramble Golf Tournament was held this past Saturday at the Chinook Golf and Country Club. Over the past five years the tournament has continued to try and match the demand for entry, expanding the field to a whopping 27 teams. The Chinook Lions Swim just concluded an amazing record breaking summer season, winning the Montana Federation of Swimmers Class A State Championship.
