The Community Thanksgiving dinner held annually in Chinook has went through a number of different ideas through the years and has been remarkable in its ability to adapt and serve the community. The dinner has been a staple in the Chinook community since the 1980's although no one is truly certain the first time it was held. A great time was held a couple weekends ago on the Big Flat when the Turner School celebrated Homecoming festivities all week long. The week was kicked off with various dress up days at school and all students asked to participate. A favorite always seems to be Pajama Day, and two new ones added to the week were Patriotic Days and Western Days.
